Xero sync error: Cannot transfer between the same bank account
Why the sync error occurs
This error occurs when the sync preferences aren't set correctly, especially when the Money Out Clearing and Money In Clearing accounts are incorrect. When these accounts aren't selected in the sync preferences or if they're set to incorrect accounts, sync errors are likely to be triggered.
How to fix the sync error
Review sync preferences to ensure all settings are set to the correct chart of accounts.
- Select Preferences on the sync status page
- Select the edit icon
- Make necessary changes
- Select Save
- Sync again
