Invoice attachments
You can add attachments when creating, editing, or emailing invoices in Bill.com. You can also decide whether or not to share the documents with your customer. Size limit of attachments is 17MB.

Adding attachments when creating an invoice
- Select Invoices in the navigation menu
- Select Create invoice
- Enter invoice details
- Select Add attachments
- Select attachments
- Select Local File to browse and select documents that are on your computer
- Select Inbox to browse and select documents in your Bill.com inbox
- Select Add attachment
- If you selected the wrong attachment, select the X on the attachment's name to remove it
- Select Preview and send, or select More actions to Save without sending

- Select Invoices in the navigation menu
- Select the invoice number
- Select More actions
- Select Edit Invoice
- Select Add attachments
- Select attachments
- Select Local File to browse and select documents that are on your computer
- Select Inbox to browse and select documents in your Bill.com inbox
- Select Add attachment
- If you selected the wrong attachment, select the X on the attachment's name to remove it
- Select Save
Adding attachments when emailing an invoice
- Select Invoices in the navigation menu
- Select the invoice number
- Select More actions
- Select Send via Email
- Select Attach Document
- Select attachments
- Select Browse to browse and select documents that are on your computer, then select Upload
- Select From Inbox to browse and select documents in your Bill.com inbox, then select Attach
- Select Send
Viewing and sharing attachments
- Select Invoices in the navigation menu
- Select the invoice number
- Select More actions
- Select View Documents
To share the document with your customer, so they see it in their portal account, select change next to No under Share with Customer.
Things to know
- Attachment file names should be alpha-numeric and should not contain any special characters
- If your account has receivables only, you won't have the option to attach a document during invoice creation. You'll want to attach any documents after saving the invoice.
