Send a note to a vendor

Bill.com offers the option to send notes to vendors you are connected to via the Network, as a general note, or even on a specific bill.

General message for vendor

  1. Select Vendors in the navigation menu
  2. Select the vendor's name
  3. Select Notes
  4. Enter the message in the "Start writing your note here" section
  5. Select the toggle next to "Visible to vendor"
  6. Select Save

Adding a Note to a specific bill

  1. Select Bills in the navigation menu
  2. Select the Bill #
  3. Select Add Notes on the top right, above the Bill Summary section
  4. Select the toggle next to "Make this note visible to vendor"
  5. Select Save

Things to know

  • If the "Visible to vendor" option is not selected, messages left in the Vendor profile and on Bills will be visible only to other Bill.com users who work in the account and can view Bills
  • If a vendor leaves a note, users with manage bill permissions will receive an email notification
  • You can select reply in the email from the vendor to be taken directly to the note in Bill.com
  • The "Visible to vendor" option won't appear on vendors not connected through the network
