Sage Intacct sync error: Smart Rule errors
Why the sync error occurs
These errors occur when a transaction or record tries to sync to Sage Intacct, and an existing Smart Rule in Sage Intacct conflicts with something in the record or transaction.
How to fix the sync error
The record or transaction needs to be updated to adhere to the Smart Rule in Sage Intacct, or the Smart Rule needs to be edited or deleted. If neither is possible, the record or transaction won't sync.
- An example of this error is "smart rule vendor_creation was violated this record needs to be created at the top level please navigate to the correct level and recreate the record." In this instance, the user is likely using the Bill.com intacct multi-entity sync and the Bill.com account is setup to sync at the entity level, but a smart rule is configured at the top level preventing the sync. To fix this error, the easiest solution is to clear the sync error, create the record at the top level in intacct, sync to Bill.com, and then merge the records together.
