Disconnect and reconnect an existing sync connection with QuickBooks Online

There are times you may need to disconnect and reconnect an existing connection sync between Bill.com and QuickBooks Online for troubleshooting, or if you deactivate the user who originally set up the sync in Bill.com.

Note: If this is the first time you are connecting the sync, please follow the sync setup article at the bottom of this page, these steps will not work for a brand new sync connection.


Disconnect the sync

  1. Select Settings
  2. Select Setup under Sync
  3. Select Disconnect

Reconnect the sync

  1. Select Settings
  2. Select Setup under Sync
  3. Select Connect to QuickBooks
  4. Enter your QuickBooks Online Primary Admin user ID and password, and Select Sign in
  5. Select the company in QuickBooks Online you want to sync to your Bill.com account
  6. Select Confirm
    • For accountants adding this to your own firm in QuickBooks Online, select Add app to firm
  7. Review that the company selected is correct, then select Authorize
