Update your company information

Your company information contains important information about the company, including your company logo, contact information, tax information, networking preferences, and more. Edit this information to manage updates.

Edit your company information

  1. Select Settings
  2. Select Company Information under Company Profile
  3. Select Edit in each section to edit your information
  4. Select Save

Company information overview

  • Company Name (required): Displayed on checks, receivable invoices and notifications sent to your vendors and customers on your behalf.
    • Alternate Name: DBA Name (Doing Business As), alternative or secondary company name that needs to be displayed on your Network Profile
  • Company logo
  • Company contact info
    • Company address: The company address must be the physical street address registered for your business, as we use this for verification in compliance with federal and state laws.
      • The phone number you enter here is only for your company profile and isn't used for Multi-factor authentication (MFA)/2-step verification. If you'd like to change your phone number for MFA, please see the Multi-factor authentication (MFA)/2-step verification article for those steps.
    • Mailing address: Enter an optional mailing address will appear on checks, invoices, vendor network, and communications related to BILL.
  • About the company
    • Number of Employees (required)
    • Time zone (required)
    • Company currency: defaults to USD unless you are an international vendor in one of our supported countries and you were invited to sign up by a current BILL user
    • Industry (required)
    • Business type (required)
    • Purpose of use (required)
    • Company owner (required): To remain compliant with laws and regulations regarding money movement, each business must provide the Primary Company Owner's Name and Tax ID Number (TIN)
    • About: optional description of your company
  • Tax ID (required): To remain compliant with laws and regulations regarding money movement, each business must provide the Primary Company Owner's Name and Tax ID Number (TIN)
    • Once you enter and save a Tax ID, it is no longer visible for your protection, but can still be edited if needed

Check the audit trail

You can review changes to your company profile and some settings in the audit trail of the company profile.

  1. Select Settings
  2. Select Company Information under Company Profile
  3. Select Audit trail

Audit trail details are displayed in columns:

  • When: The date stamp of when the change occurred
  • Who: The user or action that caused the change
  • Type: The kind of action
  • What: The item that was updated
  • Field: The actual field that was updated
  • Old value: What was listed before the update
  • New Value: What the value was updated to

Things to know

  • You must have Manage Company permissions to update your company profile
  • To update your Network Connection Manager
    1. Select Settings
    2. Select Users under Roles & Permissions
    3. Select the name of the user to designate
    4. Select Make Connection Manager next to Connection Manager
